Our Service Initiatives

We identify unmet but actionable goals to serve the community.

Currently, we are conducting a Support Group Initiative to assist non-profit organizations such as San Andreas Regional Center, International Children's Assistance Network and BLOOM-USA to offer Vietnamese-speaking support groups in the San Jose region.

Support groups are a cost-effective and powerful means to meet social and emotional needs. We focus on caregivers of persons with physical and emotional disabilities to provide additional support to this highly underserved population.

We just published an eBook "Building Support Circles in the Vietnamese Community" in English for potential bilingual volunteers to take part in the Initiative.

We also aim to relaunch the Hi Chi Herbal Club safe herbal therapy program, which was suspended since the COVID-19 pandemic. Our teacher and herbalist Hi Chi Nguyễn has deeded his research and knowledge on traditional Chinese medicine to CQF, and we plan publish his fundamental concepts of Eastern herbal therapy and common strategies for safe and effective use of herbal substances to promote health on this website.

Our work is delivered by our service director Minhhoang Brandon Nguyen, who is licensed in clinical social work and traditional Chinese medicine, to bring quality information and evidence-based research to the website.

His work is peer reviewed by CQF's Board of Directors and professional advisors who validate the quality of information and safety of the practice.
